How To Aim Correctly
Hello all, I have been playing for some time now and today I thought I'd go out and go for some fallow deer. I managed to get 3 kills but all 3 were body shots. I have had similar issues in the past where I've aimed roughly where I'd swear the vitals are, and end up being greeted by a fleeing animal and a hit to the body.
One of them must have been no more than 50 metres away at an 'angle-on-bow' (if I may use that term) of about 150-160 degrees to starboard of the deer. I aimed about 1/3 from the front about mid way up and yet still managed to find my shot completely missed all the vitals. I can't imagine wind having that significant an impact and so I will deduce my aim just simply must have been off. I was prone at the time with a steady shot. How can I easily aim to guarantee at least a vital shot if not a heart shot since I am really struggling to get it right lately?

I shall. Today I went back out and managed to do much better. Truth be told I was probably just tired the day before anyhow so fatigue=poor shots. I took my time today and didn't try and overdo my angle corrections. But every help is welcome in my books so I'll be sure to check out the video.

I don't know if anyone has ever seen this book: https://www.cordings.co.uk/101-shooting ... y2EALw_wcB but I need that right now. I tried getting some pheasants in the tutorial...I missed. I need a new mouse though to be fair.

I plan to visit that lodge with the practice deer as it might do me some good. However I have to ask, I noticed the DLC claims free moose scent and scent eliminator? Does that mean it tops up every time I start a new hunt? Cos that'd be great.

You could check the Wiki. Help/Wiki/Equipment/Lures and scroll down to Scents. And Help/Wiki/Equipment/Hunting Aids and scroll down to Scent EliminatorModifly1 wrote:So uh, how's it free?

It's not "forever free", it's a pack of bonus items you don't have to buy.Modifly1 wrote:So uh, how's it free?
It's not like free drink refills while dining at a restaurant. It's like a coupon to get a free bottle of tea at the grocery store.
Working 2 jobs doesn't leave enough time for hunting!
