Halloween Patch

Post by AveryW88 »

Howdy Hunters!

There's a quick patch on Steam to clean up a few event-related issues:

1. Sometimes harvested creatures did not count for guests in MP games - fixed.
2. Waterfowl's sounds got messed up around all reserves. This is the 'echo' from BRR and is now fixed.
3. Halloween aggressive creatures just stopped close to the player on the high rocks or platforms. It has been abused and we slightly changed the AI, so they'll flee if they can't kill a player.
4. Maisto 12 GA Sawed-Off Shotgun can now be placed on the lodges' gunracks.

That's all for now.

Happy Halloween Hunting!

Harvests are only counting for the person that fired the kill shot now. Is that how the fix intended it to be?
We're prevented from helping each other with it like that.

The question is, if this kind of help was intended... (although well-known)

Any other time harvests count for the person that collects the animal AND the person that fired the kill shot.
We use this to help each other with missions that require specific weapons. I also both gave and received help with the rabbit event that way.
I don't see that as cheating. It's how a lot of people have always played this game in multiplayer.

I do not value this!
I like the way players cooperate in this game.
I just raised the question if that possibility was a - long time accepted - bug or intended.
It is not necessarily EWs intention that players cooperate that way.

Yes, that's what I'm asking and hope there's a response to. The good thing is regardless of who got the kill shot the counter for the event community rewards still increases for the person that harvests. So that's the same.
And maybe I'm mistaken that the harvest credit on the score board in multiplayer counted for both players; the kill shot person and the person that collects the body.
Either way we can still cooperate and help each other with the event. Good stuff!

Zombies: NO. And NO!!
From 2005 to 2016 just about every single game that was released was zombies, zombies, zombies. And more zombies.
Glad that band wagon died.

Anyone in contact with the fashion gods please request they delete the "sagging" trend and the Gomer Pyle look not curling ballcap brims.
