AMA 2022
Howdy Hunters!
Dmitri's sacrificed, er, offered himself for another AMA like we had over a year ago.
So. How it works:
You have 2 weeks to post your questions in the Forum topic or Discord channel.
Last time we had over 500 responses, so to keep this tight, bear in mind that Dmitri won't answer questions about bugs or game suggestions. He really loves hearing ideas and many from the community are included in our roadmap, but we're going to try keep things focused. We intend and try to fix bugs as soon as possible, so please do keep reporting those in the bug channels or through support.
After the deadline, the topic and channel will close and Dmitri will spend some time compiling his answers to as many questions as he can manage without giving himself carpal tunnel.
The AMA will be posted to our usual media channels.
We'd also recommend checking out the last AMA http://news.thehunter.com/ama-with-theh ... e-answers/ to see what was answered last time. Speeds us up a bit with those answers
That's it. Let fly with the questions!

Re: AMA 2022
2 Questions:
1) Will there ever be a rough roadmap released? As in just planned future updates (maybe not even very detailed explanations if the ideas aren't finalized), but without planned release dates and the like, just stuff we could expect in the future. In terms of new animals such entries could just be "New Animal to X reserve".
2) For a more chill question: Who's your favourite artist/band and overall music genre/subgenre?

Does the latest release of the 3D camo scarves and packs add a higher effective camo capability when worn with the original clothing, than the previous 5 piece 3D clothing sets were able to give on their own.

Will there ever be a comp generator for public use? Where community members could set up hosted comps. Respectfully,

Re: AMA 2022
Any chance of updating the avatars? After looking at Ringtail Studios project portfolio there are very detailed examples. Clothing and accessories can only go so far, ya know?

Re: AMA 2022
I have lots of questions for you Dmitri , you already know i am a Roosevelt Elk fanatic like few others, so lets begin (Thanks for the sacrifice... you will be remembered!)
1- Can you tell us the elk bulls population numbers in the 3 maps, RFF, WH and Settlers? are they fixed or Random?
2- How trophy elk spawns are generated? Does it follow the rule of 25% high scoring ones? is that per species on a certain session or is that 25% to the total animals on that map? which mean you could possibly get a bad spawn for elk where there is not even a single 300+ scoring one?
3- How rare is a 400+ Roosevelt elk to spawn? Do you guys have logs for the scores of animals of players expired sessions (not what they harvested but what did spawn)? in other words can you track the frequency of big animals spawning to certain people?
4- What about groups? are they fixed? or also random? and what happened to the old group that consisted of 1 bull leading 4 or 5 cows in RFF map? why we no longer see such group?
5- What about the group assigned leader? is it random who get to be the leader? and what happen when you kill the leader while his followers are still alive? do they become independent and roam separately or do a new guy in the group get assigned the leadership rule? and they start following him? and when exactly a new leader get assigned if that's the case? after you kill the old leader or after you harvest him? and is it possible that few groups merge or change members after the session has started?
6- What about spawn locations for elk and animals in general? Do you guys secretly change them from time to time or from season to another? or did the spawn system evolve enough that it can do that on its own from time to time ?
7- Do missions like "A Dirty Job" mission for RFF map affect elk spawns or at least the path they take so you can complete the mission more easily?
8- Why the spawn algorithm seem to favor noobs when it comes to finding super big animals?
9- What is the Devs stand point on that matter of "Tents Mashing"? killing your self on purpose to fast travel to new spawn locations? is that considered a cheat? game mechanic abuse? is it punishable? getting warnings or even bans? or is it 100% legal to do? and do you have plans to counter it if its not?
10- Finally, When do you plan to start a grind to find a 400+ Roosevelt Elk and which map you will choose for it? and will you mix up the maps or stick to just one? and how many sessions you think it will take to finally join the 400+ club? and do you prefer long sessions or short ones? or are you a spawn masher

Re: AMA 2022
I didn't know we got 10 questions? If so, i'd like to ask the same questions but for Timbergold and the Rocky Mountain Elk. I love all elk but my heart is with the RME.
Thanks.
Thanks.
