There is no way we can know if animals got reduced. There do not seem to be too many axis deer, so a small reduction on the three other species would go completely unnoticed.

I can only say about the current team (last 2 years) - we never reduced any population, but if we did I would definitely announce it

Interesting. Would you also say then that you do not make any significant changes without public announcement, or are there still some types of changes we are not necessarily made aware of, such as altered spawning "patterns," or the number of elk carcasses in a spawn? I ask this specifically because there seem to be fewer carcasses than there were at their introduction, and the change appears to have happened in the last year or so: after the wolf populations were decreased.
