Mixed Species

Any Ethical Handgun or Vertical Bow (.50 Inline Muzzleloading Pistol is not a handgun.)

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

ATTEMPTS: 5 Total Attempts on Comp reserve.
SUBMITTED ANIMALS MUST BE HARVESTED: within the first 5 hours Real Time of the hunt. Incudes Pauses.
ALL ANIMALS MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN: Yes
SHOT PLACEMENT: Heart/Lungs must be hit other organs can be hit.
SUBMITTED ANIMALS MUST DIE FROM ONE SHOT: Yes

OTHER ANIMALS CAN BE HARVESTED: Yes
MISSED SHOTS: A deduction of 10 points per missed shot (if any) must be applied to final score. This includes missed shots on any animal not only comp animals.
TIE BREAKER: Combined furthest distance wins.
*ROE: Once your Attempts are used up- the ROE is no longer in effect.

Game Mode:

SP only
MP hunts on comp reserves must have at least one animal harvested or it will count as a SP hunt. MP hunts do not count toward Attempts/Attempt Time.

STANDARD REQUIREMENTS

Hunts should be submitted immediately after completing the hunt. Max 90 min. (No Sandbagging)
NOTE: If you start another hunt before submitting, your previous hunt is not eligible.
Hunts must start after the competition starts, and end before the competition ends to be valid.

*Repeated hunts on a single competition reserve must be 60 minutes apart. (No Spawnmashing)

If you have a 26 minute hunt you must wait 34 minutes to start another hunt. Hunts < 5 minutes long with no distance traveled, no animals spotted or tracked (disconnects, can't connect to server) are exempt from this rule.

Oh, the hunt can still last as long as you want... it's just that the animal(s) you submit have to be harvested within the first 3 hours of the hunt. It was a nice compromise that removed the big "time spent in game" advantage between those that love to hunt for days and those with busy lives that have less spare time to play.

I mean, if one person has the leisure time to shoot every animal on the map, chances are they'll end up with one better than someone else that manages to squeeze in a game before bedtime, and may even then stay up too late playing, as they still have to go to work the next day.

Usually I do let these things run 5-7 hrs per attempt. I also prefer long hunts when I can do it, lately though I find I simply get bored after about 4hrs. I'll think about allowing a longer hunt time, 5hrs is a decent expedition, the 3hrs I have listed now doesn't really allow much more than a quick walk, and finding anything decent in that amount of time, really is based on simply going to a spawning point. No competition in that if you know where the spawning points might be.

Maybe if I change the hunt times I'll also knock down the number of attempts to 3. Or total time of 15-20 hrs. With that tho' we have to add the times like this Elapsed Time: xxhrs and Time Remaining: xxhrs with every submission. It was great when we had automation cause all the comps then were a max number of hours, and when your time was up, you were done. This allowed the freedom for any number of hours that one wanted to do per submission. It would look like this: Hunt time 30 Hrs, unlimited attempts and a certain number of submissions. For this comp I'd make it 30 hrs total, Unlimited Attempts, and 3 to 4 Submissions only for example.
