Welcome to the forum comps JamesMC! It's nice to see another new name in here. BCKidd has comps here on the forum regularly and the rules are always a little different each time. For this competition, deer must be shot at >20m. It looks like your buck was shot at 7m. I usually make a little list on my phone of all the requirements right before I start a hunt so I don't forget them... and even then I still forget them sometimes. There's more bucks out there in the swamps but they are indeed a little more difficult to find out there. Good luck!

I read that and thought you might have been chasing rusa instead of whitetails!

I'm hoping to catch up a bit.. I'm behind on scores, as you may have noticed, and still have some real life stuff I've been procrastinating on that has a looming deadline. I'm not willing to skip this or get a DNF, though, so I'll be hitting this later today. Wish me luck- it's sure been lacking for me lately in these comps! :?
Working 2 jobs doesn't leave enough time for hunting! :(

LOL I knew I screwed something up! I'm normally pretty detail oriented but I guess I was lacking this morning. Thanks for the welcome. I've been around (off and on) for a long time and have watched the forums but I don't usually get very active in comps. Lately we've been running some in my little grou and I enjoyed them so I figured I'd venture out into the forum comps as well.

Not sure it is luck that is lacking as all these comps are pretty much luck based- I think it is time constraints, you've been busy and haven't been able to concentrate. I will wish you luck tho'. ;)

  That is all right we all have done that a time or three. Also it is best to double check the ROE when the comp starts, as sometimes the rules do change b'fore it starts, due to competitor input or, something stupid that I missed. ;)

We've all been there and done that. Many of us have screwed up several times before  You should have your whole group come on over and try their hands at the forum comps. Competing amongst friends makes the game that much more enjoyable, and we're all friends over here 8-)
