Good POV TW7. But, if I go on a reserve and in 3 minutes I shoot a trophy critter, and then I can go back in directly after that, and shoot a better trophy critter in 5 minutes- that is Spawnmashing. That is the reason for the CDP (Cool Down Period) between hunts. I guess though, with limited attempts instead of unlimited attempts the rule really isn't necessary in that sense. But, hosts would then have to change that rule each time they hosted. For example since this is limited attempts and I remove that rule, and the next time I host a comp and make it unlimited attempts I'd have to add that CDP rule, otherwise competitors could spawnmash like crazy- basically it is just a matter of convenience for the hosts. I hope that helps clear it up for you- and you understand now the need to have the CDP.

Ok, that makes sense and thank you for the explanation. I haven't been around these comps as long as many on here and with the BCKidd comp requirements, multi species, or dual sexes I can't imagine trying to win a comp by spawnmashing when limited attempts are present. If it was like many of the simple EW comps where you're looking for just one animal or the occasional comp when you have a lump sum of time to be used then it could be problematic. We don't need more work for the gracious hosts!

Spawnmashing usually entails doing a bunch of 3-5 minutes hunts, one after another, on the same reserve until you finally find a monster trophy. The CDP totally removes competitors from doing that. The limited attempts rules also works as a preventable measure, but could still be done using the spawnmashing method especially if the cool down period wasn't present in the ROE.

I feel so far behind! I've finally managed a second hunt on this, so now just have to find a bunny to get a full submission. I think what is going to help me here is not having a time limit for the hunt itself. I'm not sure how many more I can fit in before it ends., but I may be able to squeeze in a short one before bedtime here.
