Crossbow Pistol (Wolfsbane)
At the shooting range. A pistol with a calimator sight shoots at 7-8 meters. When hunting with a Tree Stand or Tripod Stand at 12-15 meters, the arrow flies above the red dot. I think my gun is broken. Can he be repaired?

As far as I know the scope for the Xbox-pistol is zeroed for shots at 25 m. Therefore it has to shoot high at 15 m.

As the line line of view is above the arrow (or barrel) axis, a bolt or bullet will cut the line of view twice. Once at a short distance (in your case apparently 7-8 m) from below and again at 25 m from above. Go to the range and try at 15m - you will see the same effect as from the tree stand

When firing with a calimator sight, at a shooting range.
Target 10 meters - arrows fly below the red dot. Target 20 meters - arrows fly below the red dot.
When firing with a calimator sight, with Tree Stand.
10 meters - arrows fly above the red dot, 15 meters - above the red dot, 20 meters - right on target.
I can't understand it.

Re: Crossbow Pistol (Wolfsbane)
It works exactly like throwing a stone. The further away the target the higher you have to aim. The stone travels up until gravity pulls it back down again and if you have calculated correctly you will hit the target. This rise and fall is called trajectory and all weapons have it.
The more powerful the weapon and the faster the bullet or arrow travels the less it is noticeable. As an example a bullet from a 270 rifle will need to rise about 25mm to 30mm to fall back down to hit a bullseye at 200m.
An arrow from a 30 lb bow would have to rise around 300mm before falling back to hit a bullseye at 30m.
But if you are shooting downwards, (rather than horizontally), as from a tree stand you will get a very slight improvement in range. The steeper the angle the more noticeable it becomes.
Trajectories can be calculated mathematically depending on the weight of the projectile, the power it is propelled at, and the speed it travels. This has been incorporated in all the weapons in game to approximate the performance each weapon would achieve in real life.

It's all about trajectory different for every weapon, and position/angulation of shot in relation to the target. You have to get the hand of it.
